Non-tariff barriers, food safety and international food trade
Norsk sjømateksport har den siste tiden møtt av en rekke handelshindringer (non-tariff barriers) og mattrygghetreguleringer (sanitary and phytosanitary) i viktige markeder som Russland, Ukraina og Kina.
Hovedmålet med studien er å se nærmere på regelverkene og undersøke kostnaden og effekten det har på handelen i dette markedet. Prosjektet vil også se på europeiske handelshindringer og mattygghetregelverk for matimport fra utviklingsland til EU og Norge.
Et annet viktig mål for prosjektet er å utvikle økonomiske metoder for å studere handelsbarrierer (NTB) og mattrygghetregelverk (SPS).
