The purpose of this event is to present the results of the joint research project, conducted by NSC and NUPI – FLANKS, which addresses current regional security issues, focusing mainly on the behavior of the Russian Federation. The project aims at a better knowledge, both in Romania and Norway, of the security challenges faced by the two countries, thus strengthening cohesion at bilateral and allied level.

The event will be moderated by Dr. Karsten Friis, Senior Research Fellow and head of Research Group on Security and Defence – NUPI, to whom MG (Ret.) Leonardo Dinu and Dr. Dan Dungaciu, members of the Scientific Council of the New Strategy Center, Mr. Ståle Ulriksen, Researcher at the Norwegian Naval College, and Dr. Jakub Godzimirski, Research Professor at The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) will join as speakers.

The conference will be held between 16:30 and 18:00 (Romania time) and will be live streamed on New Strategy Center’s Facebook page and the media partner Calea Europeană.
