Event
USA after the election: Consequences for the Nordics and the geopolitical landscape
Donald Trump's overwhelming victory in the presidential election will have consequences for Europe and for the Nordic region. But where will we notice it most? Will there be a trade war? Will aid to Ukraine cease? And what about the relationship with China?
On November 14, researchers from five leading foreign policy institutes in the Nordic region will gather to discuss these questions. How exposed are the Nordic countries to changes in the American politics? Is there a common understanding of challenges with Trump, or are there also different - and conflicting - interests among the Nordic countries?
Some of the Nordic region's leading experts on security and foreign policy will assess how the new administration may impact the geopolitical landscape, not only in the relationship between the U.S. and Europe but also for Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, and for the Nordic region as a whole.
