Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations go hand in hand with comprehensive economic and political domestic reforms that have transformed Georgia into a developed democracy. At the same time, Tbilisi’s evolving ties with the West are supplemented with good-neighborly regional cooperation.

The South Caucasus region is at the nexus of various economic, political and energy interests. Georgia strategic partnership with Azerbaijan and Turkey, together with friendly relations with Armenia, creates a solid basis for turning the region into a major economic and transportation hub.

«With the annexation of Crimea, the issue of Black Sea security moved to the forefront of the international agenda. As a net contributor to the global security and an avid NATO partner, Georgia is able and willing to effectively participate in this important undertaking,» Mr. David Zalkaliani states. This will also be the topic of his public talk when he visits NUPI 13 November.

State Secretary Audun Halvorsen from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a short introduction to Mr. Zalkaliani's talk.
