Facing new threats: The US cyber security strategy
The United States is regarded as the most sophisticated country in the world when it comes to cyber security and cyber defense, but challenges and new threats still remain.
At this event Mr. Victor Piotrowski and Mr. Ralph F. Wachter will give an overview of U.S. cybersecurity strategic plans and their implementation, spanning four U.S. Presidents and including the current Executive Order on Cybersecurity.
Mr. Victor Piotrowski is a senior U.S. cyber security expert. He is Lead Program Director at CyberCorps (SFS) and Program Director of Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC), and has held numerous leading positions in U.S. Government related to cyber security strategy and education.
Mr. Ralph F. Wachter is the Program Director for Division of Computer and Network Systems at National Science Foundation. He has previously been Program Officer and Program Director at a wide rage of departments working on computer security and other related areas. He holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University.
