Summary
Ole is a master student at NUPI. He is pursuing a master's degree in political science at the University of Oslo. During his bachelor’s degree in international relations, Ole spent an exchange semester in Moscow, sparking his interest in Russia. Ole previously held an internship at the Norwegian delegation the OSCE, and is now part of the NUPI research group on Russia, Asia and International Trade (RAIT).
In his MA thesis, Ole is writing about the Russian oppositional diaspora in Georgia and Norway, analysing how the Russian regime seeks to silence, control, and punish dissidents living abroad, and how such transnational repression shapes their behaviour. Ole is also a project officer at the European Wergeland Centre (EWC).
