Event
CANCELLED: Europe in 2020 – a Finnish perspective
Coffee and breakfast will be served from 09.00!
2019 has meant many changes for the EU: new European Parliament, new Commission and Brexit ongoing. Globally the multilateral system continues to be challenged with world politics including elements of power rivalry.
Finland holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1st July to 31st December 2019. On this backdrop, how does the EU’s global role look like from the perspective of the Finnish EU Presidency? How can the EU be a leading actor in multilateral fora, in crises and conflict resolution and on climate change? What is the future of EU enlargement? Are EU politics internally and externally coherent?
