Cyber security and the protection of critical infrastructure – an American perspective
The coordination of cyber security is difficult between the various governmental actors and the private sector. This applies in the U.S. as well as in Norway. How should we approach these challenges? And what should we do to protect critical infrastructure?
At this seminar Michael Chertoff will share his experiences from his time as the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and talk about the development of the U.S. national cyber strategy. He will also share his thoughts on how to protect critical infrastructure against cyber attacks, seen from a U.S. perspective.
Michael Chertoff served as the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to 2009. Mr. Chertoff is an expert in preventing and responding to cybersecurity threats, and the co-author of the USA Patriot Act. He is the co-founder and executive chairman of the Chertoff Group, a risk-management and security consulting company.
Senior advisor at NUPI Karsten Friis will chair the event.
