Theory seminar: Radical Feminism and Human Trafficking
In Strange Bedfellows, the author explores “neo-abolitionist” approaches to human trafficking, and the unlikely alliance between radical feminists and evangelical Christians working to shape U.S. anti-trafficking efforts.
Lobasz is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations and the Department of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Delaware.
Her research interests lie more generally in the interplay of gender, religion, human rights, and security discourses in domestic, transnational, and international political contexts. She focuses in particular on the ways competing discourses shape political conditions of possibility.
After a presentation from Lobasz there will be a Q&A session.
